About This Video

Many leatherworkers tend to be scared of color; they've finished tooling their masterpiece, with a beautiful burnish, and they hesitate to finish it in fear that might mess it up.

In this class, Jim Linnell introduces some of the basic techniques that he uses to create vibrancy and dimension with acrylic paint, so that you can be confident in applying color to your leather art.

Jim Linnell is a Stohlman Award winning leatherworking instructor who has dedicated his life to the advancement of the art form and the preservation of its history.

This is a recording of a live, online class, so viewers benefit from both audience questions and workshop moderation.

For this class, we utilize the eagle featured in our "Simple Figure Carving Workshop."
