This is the tracing pattern used in an in-person class taught by Jim Linnell. The pattern is from a carving that was done by Ken Griffin for his book "Ken Griffin's Scrapbook" The book was published in 1952 with a photo of the finished carving. No tracing pattern was included in that book. It took Jim a full day just to create this tracing pattern off of that original carving (which Jim has in his collection at Elktracks Studio) The size is over 17"X15" and has plenty of detail. That in-person class was a marathon that took over 40 hours of work for most.
This is a deep dive into classic western floral carving the very few have ever taken. It promises to challenge all who take this project on.
