Ken Griffin Oak Leaves
About This Pattern
Among the items in the collection of leather working treasures at Elktracks Studio is an ever growing group of items from one of Jim Linnell’s heroes, Ken Griffin. One of those items is a planter for which Ken designed a unique oak leaf pattern. This is likely one of the last carvings that Ken might have done and has probably never been seen by most of today’s leather craftsmen.
Using Ken Griffin’s tracing pattern and Ken’s tools, Jim Linnell has brought that oak leaf pattern to life on a piece of leather. Using that planter as a guide, Jim has faithfully reproduced this wonderful pattern with the style and technique of his hero.
This pattern would be suitable for a small notebook cover or similar sized item.
