As a lifelong artist, Daniel has dabbled in just about everything. He spent years learning to master airbrushing and discovered leather as a medium that could make usable art. Ever since, he's been experimenting with different techniques to create unique looks and textures to combine with his leatherworking.
In this workshop, Daniel teaches the basics of adding dimension to your leather projects using pyrography. He uses a bird design to teach the techniques that are required to master the basics of pyrography. Working on an already tooled project, he shares with students his secrets on how to use a pyrography kit to add details and shading that make the image really pop.
Daniel diligently reviews everything a beginner needs to know to get started with an adjustable heat pyrography kit while demonstrating its uses on a tooled and embossed portrait of a finch.
This is a recording of a live, online class, so viewers benefit from both audience questions and workshop moderation.
