About This Video
Have you ever wondered how leather workers are able to make parts of their carvings stand much higher than the rest of their work? That is called embossing and this class is going to show you how that is done. The figure used to demonstrate these techniques is a horse portrait as Jim Linnell demonstrates not only how it is raised up, but also how it is filled so that it doesn't flatten back out.
We have a number of videos that include leather embossing as part of the process, but this video reviews the specific techniques one might need to find success in getting started with this style of leather carving.
