In this follow-up coloring workshop, award-winning German artist Jürgen Volbach leads students through his coloring process for the 3-D Leather Raven with Ram Skull and the surrounding frame. 

Done on two pieces of leather, the first layer is the three-dimensional raven standing on a ram skull. Jürgen guides students through the layered coloring effect used to create a dramatic depth in this piece. 

The second layer is the frame which is worked over the finished raven/ram image. The coloration of the frame includes air-brushing techniques, acrylic painting to create a turquoise border, and antiquing to bring it all together. 

This is a recording of a live class, so viewers benefit from workshop moderation with Jim Linnell and Michael Magnus.
