In his first class with Elktracks Studio, Corral shares some of his secrets and techniques for creating simulated textures with fine details, many of them self-taught through trial and error. Some of his tool use is unconventional and challenges traditional wisdom about what basic tools can and cannot be used for.
Throughout the class, Corral uses a skull with floral designs, wood texture, fabric details, and a cave-like framing technique to demonstrate creating a variety of different simulated textures in a single image.
